For centuries Amethyst has been the most highly regarded and sought after member of the quartz family. Given its wine purple colour early Greek legend associated amethyst with Bacchus, the god of wine. It is said that amethyst gems keep their wearers clear-headed and quick-witted in their business affairs.
Amethyst comes in a range of sizes and colours ranging from palest lilac to the richest purple.
