A diamond encrusted Victorian era crescent brooch from circa 1890. This stunning brooch consists of 19 old cut diamonds graduated in size. The total diamond weight is estimated at 2.20ct. The piece is made from 18ct gold and silver and has beautiful gallery work at the side. During the Victorian era silver was the preferred white metal used in jewellery. Over time silver oxidises and turns black giving the diamonds additional contrast.
