Antique Turquoise & Diamond Pendant

A beautiful Victorian era antique turquoise and diamond pendant. The centre diamond is a rose-cut diamond which is a type of cutting style only seen in antique pieces of jewellery. The rose-cut diamond is enhanced by a foil backing to give in extra sparkle. The diamond is accentuated by four cabochon cut turquoise gemstones of pale blue colour. The reverse of the piece has a compartment for a memorial picture of a loved one, this type of design was popular during queen Victorias reign. The piece is made from 18ct yellow gold and has a total weight of 14.8g. The patina of the piece is in keeping with its age and is a clear indicator that the piece is an original antique.
