All of our deliveries are sent by registered post from An Post, Ireland's standard postal service. When you're filling out your shipping details, please kindly provide an address where your jewellery can be signed for on arrival as proof of receipt.
Delivery times and prices are as follows:

Please note our postal service is making every effort to meet these delivery times in but there may be some changes or delays due to restrictions caused by COVID-19. The delivery times here apply to most cases unless an item has recently gone out of stock. If it is out of stock and can't be reordered we'll email you to let you know and can suggest alternatives if needed.
When you place an order, your items will be charged at the price shown on the date that you place it but we reserve the right to change our prices at any time. This includes our delivery costs.
All EU orders include 23% VAT. Non-EU orders are exclusive of 23% VAT. All duties and taxes on import to a non-EU destination must be covered by the customer.
Our Right to Vary This Delivery Information
Brereton Jewellers have the right to revise and amend this delivery information when necessary.
Exchanges or refunds are possible within 28 days of purchase. This period starts on the day you receive an email stating your order has been dispatched. Please contact us by phone or email in advance of a return so we know to expect it. This will also allow us to arrange the return of the item within our own stock system. We will get back to you with further instructions.
Change of Mind
Please take care when ordering your jewellery, in particular with rings. Some rings cannot be resized and need to be remade to fit. It is important that the correct size is ordered. If you are not sure which size to order, please feel free to get in touch for guidance. You can also make use of our ring sizer guide on the website to help with your choice.
Items can be returned to our O'Connell Street store in Dublin for an exchange or refund within 28 days. Returns can also be posted back if the customer bears the cost of return shipment and insurance. Any items being returned to us must be insured. We cannot accept any courier charges on delivery of an item to us, returns must be made through the post office unless the customer covers a courier cost. Please note that return post by courier would be the safest way of ensuring the item makes it back to us. No refund will be issued until an item has been safely returned to us in store. For exchanges, the shipment cost of any newly desired item plus any import tax or duties must be covered by the customer if based outside the Republic of Ireland.
Bespoke, long out of stock and special order items cannot be exchanged. Assuming there is no manufacturing fault, they may only be returned on a case by case basis. In general, engraved items are non-returnable and non-refundable. This depends on the item. A re-polish fee may be incurred.
Gifts can be returned for an exchange ideally with proof of purchase. The customer must cover shipping costs for exchanges.
For returns that are faulty outside the 28 day period, our workshop will examine returned items carefully. We expect not to find proof of interference with the jewellery when we examine it for a manufacturing problem, otherwise we cannot accept it back and will have to post it back to you. Faulty items will only be accepted back if they were delivered damaged or if a fault shows up within the guarantee period of 12 months. If this is the case we will arrange a free repair, replacement or refund and cover the cost of any items shipped to you as a result.
Conditions for Returns

Items returned by post must be sent in their original packaging with proof of purchase paperwork and diamond cert included if one applies. There is a €300 cost for replacing a certificate if it is not returned with the diamond as they are very expensive to replace. You have a duty to keep the goods in your possession and to take reasonable care of them until you return them. Goods must be returned in their original condition, including immediate packaging, within the returns period of 28 days from dispatch. Please do not write "Brereton Jewellers" anywhere outside the box. "John Brereton" or "Brereton" will be fine. We cannot be held liable for any posted returns that do not make it back to us.
If you're returning your item in store you should bring your dispatch note with you to show proof of online purchase. Should the item be presented in its original condition an exchange, refund or repair will be organised depending on the situation. If an item has been received as a gift, a gift card will be issued to you for the same value which can be used online or in any Brereton store.
