Polishing

During the course of everyday life you will scratch and mark your jewellery.  From time-to-time please bring your jewellery to one of our stores and we will re-polish the piece.  This serves two purposes. Firstly it restores the shine to your jewellery, returning it to its original appearance. Secondly, it allows us to assess the jewellery for any damage that you may not be aware of. This enables us to perform preventative repairs that will be less costly than a major repair or replacement of a lost gem.

Rhodium Plating

With the move in fashion over the years towards white metals such as white gold and platinum, rhodium plating has become an integral part in jewellery maintenance. Rhodium, a member of the platinum family, is used to give white metals a high polish finish. It should be applied every six months to two years, depending on wear. The process involves firstly removing the old rhodium, secondly polishing the metal to remove all scratches and marks, and finally applying the new plating of rhodium. The process is so complete that the piece will appear to be like the day it was purchased.

Rhodium plating costs €40 per ring and takes 4 working days. This is discounted to €30 per ring for rings that are bought from us. Other pieces of jewellery such as bracelets, watches and pendants are priced on an individual basis.
