The ultra-slim 2003 calibre movement designed by Audemars Piguet in 1953 is a rare and highly collectible movement. At the time it was the slimmest watch movement ever made in production at 1.64mm deep. The movement has 17 jewels and is adjusted to five positions. Adjusted to five positions means that the movement is designed to compensate for lying in different position. The watch itself has an 18ct yellow gold case and a round white dial with Roman numeral hour markers. The watch winder has a cabochon cut sapphire inset. The watch is from circa 1960 and is in excellent condition. It appears to have been in a safe for the majority of its life. The watch has its original Audemars Piguet 18ct gold buckle.
