1971 Omega Seamaster Memomatic Alarm
This 1970s' watches can't get any better than this. Stunning Omega Memomatic automatic alarm watch with manual winding alarm mechanism. The watch is in good working order and the alarm works perfectly. The dial is grey marked with orange now faded to a yellowish colour and white accents. Genuine Omega crystal with miniature Omega logo in the centre of the crystal, It comes on a good quality replacement brown leather strap.The crown at 4 is also Omega signed. This crown winds up the alarm mechanism, as well as sets the hands and the alarm time setting. The button at 2 starts and stops the alarm sounding. It also needs to be pushed in for the alarm to be wound up. The setting mechanism is on an independent rotating disc within the dial. The date at 3 is quick set and has a recessed pusher to adjust the date, this is operated with a sharp object a pin or a pen. The Omega alarms are of medium loudness, they are not as lout as the Jaeger le Coultre alarms, but you will definitely know when it is going off. Dimensions are as follows: width is 40 mm excluding crown and 42mm including crown, lug to lug is 43 mm, and the thickness is 15 mm.
